How do I get a creeper head?

You have to find both a creeper and a charged creeper. You will need a flint and steel to ignite the charged creeper to blow up the normal creeper. This will then drop a creeper head. You will also want to have armor to survive the explosion.

If you are in survival, you have almost no choice but to go to the nether. You could also go into world settings and turn on the "cheats" setting. After, you go to the chat and put "/give @s wither_skull" and click enter. If you are in creative, search it up in your inventory.

How do I get a head that is not in my inventory?

If you are trying to get a mob head in survival, you have to get a creeper to get struck by lightning, then have it explode and kill the mob. This only works with creepers, zombies, and skeletons. If you want a head that you can't get in survival mode it has to be from a player. You type in this command: /give @p minecraft:player_head{SkullOwner:PlayerNameHere}. Where it says PlayerNameHere you type in the username of the player you want to get a head from. You can change your skin to get any head you want!
