Wait until the growing season has come to an end. The plant's laves should appear brown, dry and droopy. This will about 2 to 3 months after planting it. Don't leave it too long or the turmeric will rot in the soil. To harvest, simply dig up all of the plant, including the roots. Sever the roots from the rest of the plant and they're ready to be cleaned up and stored or used.
