    If the CD doesn't automatically run a program, you can try double-clicking on the CD in File Explorer to run it. If it opens up a new directory (folder), then look for a program inside that is an installer.

    It used to be PNP. But, now you will need software to run that DVD ROM drive and these also have special files, known as Codecs, to run the video on your computer.
