Priming your canvas is definitely a good idea! Use a bit of water to brush or roll a coat of gesso onto your canvas. Let the canvas dry, and sand the surface down so it's nice and smooth. Then, apply a second coat of gesso with even more water. Wait for the canvas to dry, sand it down again, and then you're ready to get painting!

Try food coloring. It will give you a nice, opaque color. Food coloring also comes in many colors, which will give you a variety to choose from!
  • Question
Would acrylic paint work for making fluffy stress balls?
    Community Answer
I'm pretty sure acrylic paint will crack, because it's basically a plastic when it drys. Try using puffy paint instead.

Liquid paint comes in tubes, and is found in craft and art supply stores.
  • Question

How do I make the color white?
    Community Answer
You can use the same technique, and the transparency of the glue won't matter.
  • Question
Can glue-acrylic paint be used on plastic?
    Community Answer
Yes, it can. Faux acrylic paint is used for plastic and other surfaces that can be painted on.
  • Question

    Community Answer
In this case it means the base is white glue - this can be PVA, or maybe another polymer, but not usually acrylic.
