Use citrus-based cleaners and degreasers to easily cut through oil stains. The acidity of citrus can easily clean tough oil and grease spots. You can make your own mixture out of lemon or lime juice, vinegar, and water, or buy a commercial product at a store.
  • Question
Can I use baking soda on my leather seat to remove the peanut butter that I used to remove gum?
    Community Answer
You should have no problem removing peanut butter from a leather seat -- it's easy to wipe it off. You might see excess oil there, which you could deal with by oiling your seats like you should regularly anyway.
  • Question
I put a hot dish of food on my leather car seats and it left a slight ring where the dish was, did I damage the leather? If so, can I repair it?
    Community Answer
Try folding a damp towel several times, placing it on the seat, and warming it with an iron. I assume that you have already applied leather conditioners and/or Neatsfoot oil. If not, try that first. Do not iron the leather directly.
  • Question
Yesterday I gave somebody a lift and he was wearing a greasy coverall. The car seat absorbed the grease/oil. It even smells. What can I do?

Try Spray Nine. One thing is for sure, if it doesn't correct the issue, it certainly won't make it worse. If that doesn't work, take the vehicle to a good detail shop. They have all the right cleaners that won't hurt the upholstery or leather.

That will depend on what kind of upholstery you have. Different upholsteries, leather and suede require different products and techniques to clean them and remove stains.
