  • Question

    Mzm555
    Top Answerer
Depends on the individual. Some find it a bit sticky, and most people prefer a natural massage oil such as olive, sunflower, almond, etc. at the expense of a reduced shelf life. The best thing is to just try both and see which you prefer.

Provided the massage was undertaken by an experienced individual, usually no. However, for the new massage therapists it is very important to note when using/blending citrus essential oils, the recipient must not be exposed to sunlight afterwards, as many citrus essential oils have a photosensitizing effect, which can lead to severe sunburn in some cases where the oil was applied.

Mainly by an "off" smell. Many vegetable oils will keep for 6 - 12 months or more; if there is no best before/expiry date printed on the oil container, then take note of how old the oil is by when it was purchased.
