Apple Messages allows you to accent the messages you send to other Messages users in a variety of ways. Adding confetti to your messages is done by accessing a new menu that appears when holding , which is normally used to send your messages.

  3. This should cause confetti to fall from the top of your screen.
    • If it does not, check to make sure you do not have Reduce Motion turned on it the Accessibility options.
  4. This sends the message and causes confetti to fall from the top of your screen again. When the recipient of the message opens the message confetti will fall from the top of their screen.

    When I send a message with confetti to my boyfriend's 7 Plus we bought today, the message says "sent with confetti" in parentheses, but it doesn't show confetti on his screen. What's the problem?

    It should only display that message if the phone is not on iOS 10. If the phone is fully updated, try asking someone at the Apple store.

    You need to press and hold the arrow until a screen comes up.

    When I send the message, the person receives the message and in parentheses (sent with confetti), but they don't see the confetti effect. Why?

    That may mean that they don't have an iPhone, or they have not yet updated to iOS 10 or higher.
