In Terraria, the Eye of Cthulhu usually summons itself automatically if certain early-game milestones are met. If you want to force-spawn the Eye of Cthulhu, you can craft and use the Suspicious Looking Eye. Here's how to summon the Eye of Cthulhu in Terraria pre-Hardmode.

Things You Should Know

  • To summon the Eye of Cthulhu, have at least 200 max Health and 10 defense, 4 town NPCS, and wait until 7:30 PM in-game.
  • To force-summon it, craft a Suspicious Looking Eye with 6 Lens at a Demon Altar or Crimson Altar.
  • Use the Suspicious Looking Eye after 7:30 PM in-game.

    This consumable item can be found in Gold or Frozen Chests in the Cavern and Dungeon, and Ivy Chest in the Underground Jungle biome .
