Geometry Dash seems easy to master at first, but will get a lot more challenging as you explore into user-made levels with the Demon difficulty rating. They typically will require lots of patience and several skills to beat. Fortunately, one can use a simple method to practice and complete Demon levels.

Learning the Level

  1. Take note of the more difficult parts of the level, so you know which ones may need some more practice.
  2. The creator might have wrote down the password to copy the level in the level's description. Another way is to search for a 'copy-able' version of the level.

  3. You can still use practice mode on the level. In fact, disabling "Auto Checkpoints" in the pause settings and manually placing checkpoints can simulate using start positions in a copy of the level quite well. The only drawback is that you will not be able to hear the level's original music.
  4. From there, you have access to tools that can help with easier practice.
  5. Place it at the part of the level that you need to practice or you feel is the most difficult.
  6. Practice until you feel confident that you are able to complete that part.
  7. Practice 'easy' parts too as they might catch you off guard.

Completing the Level

  1. Let your practice pay off.
  2. If you cannot pass a certain part, then go into practice mode or your copy of the level and practice.
  3. Try to compare it with yours. If you notice any difference and you crash there, correct it. Make yourself used to doing it the correct way.

  • Question
How do I beat Black Blizzard?
    Community Answer
Just keep practicing. Geometry Dash is a muscle-memory game, so get yourself used to the long memory parts and tricky timings of the level. Eventually, all of your practice will pay off.
  • Question
I completed TOE 2, but keep failing at Deadlocked at about 80%. What am I doing wrong?
    Community Answer
TOE 2 and Deadlocked have very different gameplay. Although TOE 2 does increase your skill, it may not prepare you for Deadlocked's gameplay. 80% in Deadlocked is a very difficult part, the memory part. I recommend taking a copy of Deadlocked and placing Start Position there to practice and memorize it.
  • Question
Is there an easy tip/trick to beating clubstep? I got to 82%, almost quit the whole game, then very next try got 98%, so I kept going. However, the upside-down - normal swaps from flying catch me off guard. Any patterns?
    Community Answer
Make yourself some challenges in the editor, and keep practicing any tricky parts that you may stumble upon.

      Tips

      • Do not give up! Failure is the mother of success. Believe in yourself that you can do it!
      • Instead of heading straight to difficult Demons/levels, try easier Demons/levels in order to get yourself used to the many mechanics of the game.
      • Precision is required for many Demons. Triple-spikes and stuff are annoying but will be a piece of cake when you master it.

      Warnings

      • Take breaks. It can make you more energized so you can complete the Demon without fatigue.
      • Stand up between periods of time so as to let blood circulate through your body. You might suffer a blackout or faint if you do not stand up.
      • If you suffer from epilepsy, beware of levels that are inspired by Nine Circles by Zobros. There will be many flashing lights. A way to identify these kinds of levels is to observe the level's song name. If the song's artist is 'NK', 'Night Killa' or 'Rukkus', beware as many Nine Circles inspired levels use these songs.
        • Some examples of these levels are Jawbreaker, Sonic Wave, Crimson Clutter, Problematic, Fairydust,The ReaIistik, and Poltergeist.
          • Another level that isn’t nine circles but can cause you to experience epileptic seizures is that of Duelo Maestro where near the end in the asymmetrical dual part there is a pulsing effect for a bit.
