This wikiHow teaches you how to follow other users and pages on Facebook. While you can follow any public page on Facebook, you can only follow users who have allowed it in their settings. [1] If a user doesn't have a public profile on Facebook, you must friend them to see their posts on your news feed.

  1. Open Facebook on your computer or mobile device.
  2. Search for the person or page you want to follow.
  3. Tap on the person's profile or the page from the search results.
  4. Tap Follow . If you're trying to follow a page, click the three-dot menu first to see the option to follow the page or person.

    It's a dark blue app with a white "f". This will open your Facebook News Feed if you're already logged into Facebook.
    • If you aren't logged into Facebook, enter your email address (or phone number) and password to continue.

    Type the name of the person or page you want to follow into the search bar at the top of the screen, then tap the name of the person or page when it appears in the drop-down menu.
    • Some people, such as celebrities and other public figures, have "Follow" buttons on their pages.
