If your Snapchat account has been permanently locked or banned, creating a new account can be tricky. To avoid getting your new account immediately locked, your best bet is to create it on a different phone or other mobile device from your previous account. If your account is blocked because you live in a region where Snapchat is banned, you can get around the block with a VPN. We’ll also talk you through a few methods you can try to get your old account unlocked.

Using a VPN does not grant you the ability to view a blocked Snapchat account. The blocking functionality on Snapchat operates independently of your internet connection.
