You can't make Specimen wolves into mates. You need to find Dispersal wolves, then you pick the following, "I like you", "Let's play" etc. Then finally at five hearts, pick "Let's start a pack!" then boom, you have a mate.

You have to look in the green area, and keep searching in that space until you find the den. If you are in the Saddle Meadows, it will be in the middle of the green area.

You can get a mate in the trial version, you just have to have 800+ experience. It's the same as in the full version. You do need the full version to progress and have pups though.

You just kill a lot of elk, hares, coyotes or chase off bears or cougars infill you have 800 experience points. To check your points, hit "esc" and click on "Pack Stats". Once you have 800 points you can go to the three territories untill you find a dispersal mate that is the opposite gender. Make sure to say nice things so you don't scare him/her off. Once you have gotten your mate, name them and head to the star shown on your compass.

Click the Esc button, open Pack Stats, and then on the right side, look for "Experience."

The easiest way is to kill 8 elk. If you approach a herd of elk, the ones with lower health will run away. Chase them, as these are the easiest to kill. The bull elk is a lot harder to kill, so don't go after it until you have a mate.

If it's 2.5.1 then it's because you didn't go to 3 territories first, and if it is 2.7.1 then you don't have at least 800 XP.

800 experience; you can get this by hunting or dominating wolves in the territories. It's generally easier to chase cougars off, though, as they give you 200 experience and you just need to hit them; elk take multiple in-game days to chase and kill.

I don’t think there is a specific number of cow elk or bull elk that you need to kill prior to finding a mate, but your EXP must be at least 800, and I believe one cow elk is worth 100 EXP.

Yes. In the mobile version, 2.7, you have to have about 600-800 experience points to find a Dispersal Wolf. Chasing coyotes, hunting elk and sometimes chasing grizzly bears gives you more experience. But remember, if you DO choose to attack a Bull Elk in the single player, it's quite hard and dangerous, as attacking Bull Elk is easier in the multiplayer.

Keep wandering around until you see a faint yellow dot. It could take a few minutes, but when you find a yellow dot, follow it until it gets brighter.

It mostly depends on your strength; some wolves are stronger than others. Find another wolf and say "I'm the boss!" (If that doesn't work, say it again.) You'll attack them, and when they attack you back, watch your health bars to see who does more damage. If you do more damage, keep saying, "No! I'm the boss!" and the wolf you are trying to dominate will give in when it has half its heath left.

Only if you don't accept the previous dispersal. If you do, no more will pop up on that save file.

Retry one more time. If that doesn't work, then just keep going and trying different wolves.

You need to get at least 800 points before finding a mate. You can check this by either pressing the two lines or pressing Esc on your keyboard, going to Pack Stats and looking at Experience. Find a dispersal wolf of the opposite gender and say nice things.

Press and hold the H button. If you have a mate and/or cubs, they'll howl along; you'll gain exp and your territory will be re-marked.
