  1. Clay slime is made from adding clay to any slime base. So, clay slimes are really a category that includes butter slimes, cloud dough slimes, and other popular variations. The base of the slime is usually clear or glossy, but once clay is added to it, it becomes a clay slime or “clime.” There’s also DIY Clay Slime , a popular type of slime kit sold by slime companies. These are containers filled with any type of slime and topped with a clay topper that’s sculpted into some fun shape. Cloud Slime

  1. Cloud slime is a fluffy, drizzly, and silky slime made from white glue and instant snow. The hydrated instant snow powder gives the cloud slime its signature texture, explains Park. [11] When squeezed, the slime is fairly dense, doughy, and wet (without being sticky). When stretched, however, the slime becomes super fluffy and cotton candy-like. It starts to look very drizzly, soft, dry, and feathery, but it still feels very silky and moisturizing to the touch. [12] There are also two variations on cloud slime : cloud dough slime (cloud slime with clay added for a cookie-dough-like texture) and cloud creme slime (a creamier and inflatable but less fluffy cloud slime).

Floam Slime

  1. Floam slime is a type of bead slime that’s made with styrofoam beads. The base of “ floam ” is usually a clear or glossy slime, since these types work well to hold the styrofoam beads. Once the beads are added, the slime becomes super crunchy and satisfyingly noisy—however, it can also be very sticky! It’s best to apply a few drops of slime activator to your hands before playing with this slime, due to its sticky texture. [16]
