      Tips

      • Inserting the needle on the ridges and bruises, rather than the center of the plains, will help hide the entry points.
      • After performing the trick, don't allow your friends or family to examine the peels, as they might notice the tiny needle holes.
      • This trick also works great with little kids- they're too young to realize that it's not "magic" and they won't question your abilities, either!

      About This Article

      Article Summary X

To slice a banana before it's peeled, start by finding a small needle that's at least as long as the diameter of the banana. Then, insert the needle into one of the banana's seams and push it far enough in to reach the other side but not exit the skin. Next, move the needle back and forth without breaking the entry hole, which will slice the banana inside of the peel. Finally, repeat the process down the length of the banana to create more slices.
