-
When the pitcher pitches the ball observe if the ball bounces. If it does, that is good. When the ball is not touching the ground, kick it.
-
Aim for where there is a bad player or where there is nobody.
-
Kick as hard as you can. Kick with confidence.
-
Throw the ball to the nearest person. Or, if you can, throw it to one of the people near the pitcher.
-
Throw straight and don't bounce the ball. This can give a boost to the players running the bases.
-
Throw as best as you can. You can practice throwing at home or at a local park to improve your technique.
-
Catch the ball with your body instead of your hands.
-
Don't tell your teammates not to mess up. That sort of talk can make them nervous and they might fulfill it and mess up.
-
Support your teammates. If your teammate gets an out, don't make them mad by saying something mean. It can cause a lot of your teammates to get their head out of the game and mess up. Moreover, you'll get an out sometimes too, and you'd want your team having your back. [4] X Research source
-
Expect the opposing team to try to unnerve you. That's their role, just as it's yours to do the same back. Don't be afraid of the other team. Ignore their tactics and just keep playing well.

Tips
- Try your best. Don't let your other teammates do all the work. Thanks
- Play fair. No one wants to play with a cheater! Thanks
- Use variety. If you have kicked hard multiple times in a row, try throwing a soft kick in. This will confuse the other team and give you time to make it to a base. Thanks
Tips from our Readers
- Kick the ball low and fast, aiming to bounce it on the ground instead of popping it up high. Fielders have to bend down to grab grounders, buying you extra seconds to reach base.
- Before games, build team spirit and unity. Feeling supported lifts performance and makes playing more fun. Defend teammates if opponents try trash talking.
- Have new players try pitching if fielding is too challenging for them at first. Any position that will boost their confidence will help the team.
- When running bases, surprise defenders sometimes by faking a steal, then bolting once the pitcher starts his windup. Mix unpredictable moves.
- If you struggle kicking far, just focus on placing the ball away from the best opposing players. Precision beats power.
- Take note of which opponents seem weakest during games. Use that knowledge when kicking by aiming for their areas.
Warnings
- If some one is chasing you to tag you out, don't run backwards, because when they tag you, you're going to fall backwards onto the hard ground. Thanks
- Do not throw balls at anyone, if it misses they will run farther. Thanks
- Don't try sliding on blacktop. It hurts! Thanks
