You can create a band page that Facebook users can like and follow to keep updated with your gigs and the latest news about your group. In this article, we’ll talk you through how to set up a band page in the mobile app or on your computer in just a few easy steps.

- Open the Facebook app and tap Menu ☰ .
- Tap Pages . You might need to tap See more to find it.
- Tap Create .
- Tap Get Started .
- Enter a name for your band page.
- Select a category, like Musician/Band .
- Tap Create .
- Follow the prompts to finish setting up and customizing your page.

Open the Facebook app and tap Menu ☰ . Depending on whether you’re on Android or iPhone/iPad, this Menu ☰ button will be located at either the top or the bottom of the screen. [1] X Research source
- If you’re not already logged in, you’ll need to log in with the account you want to use to manage your band page.

Tap Pages . It should be in the group of rectangular tiles right under Your shortcuts at the top of the page. If you don’t see it, tap See more to expand the menu.Advertisement

Tap Create . It’s the first option on the top of the next screen, at far left.

Tap Get Started . On the next screen, you’ll see a brief overview of what Pages are and what you can do with them. Tap the Get Started button at the bottom to continue.

Enter a name for your page. Ideally, just type in the name of your band. This will make it as easy as possible for fans, venues, and other interested people to find you. When you’re done, tap Next .

Add a category for your page. This will also help people find your page more easily. Tap on Musician/band in the list of popular categories, or search for “band” in the search bar.
- You can add up to 3 categories, so get even more specific if you want. For instance, you could select “Musician/band” and also “Jazz Band.”

Tap Create . Once you’ve finished selecting your category, tap the blue Create button at the bottom of the screen. Your page is ready to go!

Set up and customize your band page. On the next screen, you’ll be prompted to enter basic information, like your band’s website, bio, contact information, and location. You can also customize your page by uploading a profile picture and cover photo, invite friends to like your page, and turn on notifications so you get updates when there’s activity on the page (such as likes or comments).
- When you’re finished, tap Done .

Start making posts and edits on your page. To visit your page and make changes, tap the Menu ☰ button and then tap the icon for your page at the top of the screen to the right of your profile picture. It will look like your band page’s profile picture with two curved arrows around it. If you don’t see it, tap the down arrow to the right of your profile picture and select your page from the list of connected accounts. Once you’re there:
- Tap the What’s on your mind? box at the top of your feed to make posts , just like you would from your regular Facebook account.
- Tap your profile picture at the top of the screen (next to What’s on your mind? ) to visit your profile. Use the buttons on your profile to edit your band’s profile details, add new posts or reels, and manage posts that you’ve already made.

Sign into your Facebook account. Enter your email address and password on the text fields provided on the Sign In page, and click on “Log In” to access your account.
- If you don’t have a Facebook account yet, simply fill up the Sign Up form on the same page with your full name, email address, and password, and click the “Sign Up” button to get an account.

Click Pages in the lefthand menu. To the left of your feed, you’ll see a menu with a list of options under your name and profile picture. Scroll down and click Pages . If you don’t see it, click the See more button to fully expand the menu. [2] X Research source

Click Create new Page . This option is at the top of the menu on the left side of the page.

Type in a name for your Page. On the next screen, you’ll see a preview of your new page on the right and a “Create a Page” panel on the left with several fields for you to fill in. Type your band’s name into the top field that says Page name (required) .

Enter a category for your page. In the next field, search for the category that best fits your page. For instance, you could type in “band” or “musician”. Choose up to 3 categories that best fit your band.

Type in a brief bio. This is optional, but it’s a good idea to add a short description of your band in this section. You can always update it later.

Click Create Page . Your band page is now ready to set up and edit.

Set up and customize your page. On the next page, you’ll be prompted to fill in information like your band’s website, contact information, and location. Click Next when you’re done. Then, add a profile picture and cover photo to customize your page and click Next again. Keep clicking through the prompts until you’re finished, then click Done .
- You might also be offered other options, like connecting your page to your WhatsApp account. Just click Skip if you’re not interested.

Visit and edit your page. Now your page is live and ready to go! You can visit and edit it any time. To do so:
- Click your profile picture in the top right corner of the Facebook website, then click your band page’s profile icon at the top of the menu to switch to your page.
- Use the What’s on your mind? box at the top of your feed to make posts, just like you would on your regular Facebook profile.
- Click your page’s name at the top of the menu on the left side of your feed to visit and manage your profile. Use the buttons on the page to edit your page details or manage your posts.
- You can also open the Professional Dashboard in the menu on the left to look at your page’s stats, create an ad campaign, or use other advanced features.
