If you want to make your own icons, using Microsoft Paint can help you with that.

  1. Step 1 Open Microsoft Paint.
  2. Change the height & width to 32 exactly! [1]

  4. Grab a tool, draw away, and enjoy your amateur/moderate/professional work.
  5. So when you go to 'Copy', it will automatically bring up a pop up that says "Save as". [3]
    • Ignore where it says "file type" . Just rename it if you want, and then at the end of the name put .ico
  6. Go to the folder or file you want a new icon for, go to Properties, go to Customize (or if it is already on the first selection then it should say "Change icon") and change the icon.
  7. It makes for easier finding later. [4]
    Step 9 Save the *.ico version of the file on your desktop.

      • From there, go to your c: drive (your main drive), then program files/icon files/icons, then just look for cool icons you can find.
      • The best thing about this is that you can easily find icons only cause your computer will automatically change your search interests to icons only!
