    • Make sure to have a lot Max Repels. This will make it easier to catch Latias/Latios since the only Pokémon you'll encounter while using a Max Repel has to be at a level equal or higher than your first Pokémon.
    • Use the Max Repels and run in the grass. After around 20 seconds, run into the door and back out. Keep doing this until you encounter whichever one you chose.

  • Question
How do I get Latias if I picked Latios?
    Community Answer
The only way to do this is by trading. Find a friend who has Latias and is willing to trade it, then you should be okay.
  • Question
Why do you go into and then out of the door?

    Community Answer
After running through the grass for a while you can determine if the Latios/Latias is in that location. You would go in then out of a door to reset their Pokédex location.
  • Question
Is there any way to find Latias without having to run through a cave or grass?
    Gavin Yun
    Community Answer
If you are able to participate in the Eon Ticket event, you can get Latias at Southern Island provided that Latios is a roaming Pokemon. If you didn't, then you can only get Latias without a random encounter by cheating.

      Tips

      • Wynaut and Wobbuffet have an ability called "Shadow Tag". This prevents Pokémon from fleeing. Have a strong Wynaut or Wobbuffet (Latios/Latias will attack you) first in your team so that you can keep throwing balls at Latios/Latias without them escaping
      • They appear at Level 40.
      • Having a Pokémon with Block or Mean Look can help.
