Whether you need to contact HP support, download software, or are just curious about which model you purchased, the model number is easy to find. This wikiHow article will teach you where to locate the model number, product ID, and serial number of any HP desktop or laptop computer.

Things You Should Know

To find the model number of an HP laptop, just press the "Fn" and "Esc" keys at the same time.
You'll also find your model, serial, and product numbers printed on a sticker on the bottom of your laptop.
The model number, serial number, and detailed hardware information are also easy to find in the System Information panel (msinfo32).
