By default, Siri uses your first name to address you. You can, however, tell Siri to use a nickname or add one manually. You can also fix the way that Siri pronounces a name. Here's how to get Siri to say your name on iPhone or iPad.

Telling Siri to Say Your Name

Use the command, "What's my name?" to make Siri say your name. If you need to change the name Siri uses, edit your Card in the Contacts app, or ask Siri "From now on, call me [name]." There's no other way to make Siri say your name aside from asking directly.

    Depending on your Siri settings, you may need to say "Hey Siri" or press and hold the side button first. Siri will respond with your name.
    • There's currently no way to make Siri call you by name without specifically asking or commanding Siri. In the past, Siri may have responded with "Yes, [name]" but this feature is not available.

    You can find this at the very top. It'll be next to your current name and profile photo.
    • If you don't see this, tap + in the top-right corner and enter your information. Tap and hold the new contact in the list and select Make this My Card . [1]

    Delete the current name in the field and enter a new one.
