Typing a Heart on Facebook

Create a new post or click into any text field, like a comment box. Type <3 . When you create your post or comment, the heart will turn into the standard red heart emoji.

    If you've noticed a new heart icon in the menu of your Facebook mobile app, you've likely stumbled across Facebook Dating. Facebook Dating is a dating app built right into Facebook where you can create a dating profile based off of your Facebook profile.
    • To find Facebook Dating, open the Facebook mobile app, then tap the three-line icon to open your Facebook menu. Then, tap on Dating with a red and purple heart icon. [6]
