Do you have money in PayPal that you want to send to Venmo? Luckily, there's a feature coming available for consumers called Visa+ that easily lets you do that. Without using Visa+, you can also use workarounds to make sure that you're using your PayPal funds when you're paying with Venmo.
Transfer Funds from PayPal to Venmo
Send funds from PayPal to Venmo easily with Visa+ if available. If that's not an option for you, there are workarounds like transferring to your bank account or adding your PayPal Debit Card to your Venmo account.
Steps
Section 1 of 5:
Using Visa+ on PayPal
-
1Open the Menu in PayPal. You can do this in the app on either Android or iPhone (not using the website). Make sure the app is updated to the most recent version. Not every PayPal user has this option available; if you're one of those users, use a different workaround option including transferring the funds to a bank account or adding your PayPal Debit card to Venmo.
- The menu button looks like a hamburger menu (three horizontal lines) in the top left corner of your screen.
-
2Tap Send & receive with Visa+ . You'll see it under the "Send and pay" header.
- If you don't see this option, try updating your app. If you still don't see it, you will need to use a workaround instead.
- Take note of your payname as this is how you'll send and receive money to/from Venmo.

3Tap Agree and Activate . If you need to, follow the on-screen instructions to verify any information before continuing.
-
4Tap Send . You'll find it under the "Send money" header.
-
5Enter the payname for your Venmo account. It's different than the Visa+ payname you received earlier.
- Open Venmo to find your payname for that account. To have a payname set up, you'll also need to set up Visa+ on your Venmo account.
- Tap Next to continue.
-
6Enter the payment amount and tap Next . Make sure the payment information is correct before sending it since payments using Visa+ can't be canceled or reversed.
-
7Confirm the last 4 digits of the recipient's phone number. This completes the payment. [1] X Research source
- Note that your money might take 30 minutes to transfer.

-
3Move the funds from your bank to Venmo account. By doing these 3 steps, you're using your PayPal money to fund your Venmo account! Follow these steps to add money from your bank account to Venmo :

- If you can't use Visa+, this is a good way to use your PayPal money with Venmo.
-
2Add your PayPal card to Venmo. Use your PayPal card when making a payment with Venmo to use your PayPal funds!
- Add a card to Venmo by opening the Me tab and tapping Add a bank or card under the "Banks and cards" header. Tap Card and enter the PayPal card's details including the card number, the expiration date, the security code, and your zip code.
