I purchased a 200 dollar Steam card to send to a friend who wanted to order a couple games but then I got a call from my friend who said wasn't able to use card as it kept saying invalid. I want a refund!

Steam does not handle the physical gift card production. You will have to contact the company that produces these cards. Start with contacting the place you purchased it from.
