QuestionWhat materials do I need to draw like a pro?Gabrielle LapriseCommunity AnswerYou will need some HB pencils from approximately 6h to 8b (available in any art store). You will also need a blender (there are many sizes, based on what you usually draw), a bread crumb eraser, and a special sketchbook that you will use only for your drawing (preferably a special sketchbook designed for drawing). Personally, I have a sketchbook for each medium I use: pastels, chalks, coloring pencils, normal pencils and aquarelle.

QuestionHow do I start drawing when I'm a beginner?Community AnswerTry drawing shapes - clouds, circles, hexagons, squares, literally any shape. Once you've got that down, start trying to draw facial features, like noses, ears, eyes, and eyebrows, and then start drawing torsos, legs, feet, heads and shoes, then put those all together. Then you'll have a body! That could inspire you to make more stuff! There are also great YouTube tutorials showing you how to draw just about anything, and most people find these really helpful.

QuestionShould I show my friends my drawings? Or will it discourage me?Emery CailinTop AnswererIf you think your friends will support you, then by all means show them. You can ask them for constructive criticism if you want it, and tell them how constructive criticism is different from hurtful criticism (it focuses on specific parts, and how to fix them, rather than general or unfixable complaints) if you think they need a refresher on it.

QuestionI can draw the outer part of the face but the inner part I do horribly. Any ideas?Mailey JohnsonCommunity AnswerProportion the face, lightly. Draw a line down the middle, a line across for the features, eyebrows, eyes, nose, and mouth. Then draw the features and then you can erase the lines after you've drawn the features. You will soon get used to where everything on the face goes, and you won't need the lines anymore.
