  • Question
If I have more deviations, do I have a better chance of getting noticed? Do I not have enough deviations? I only have 56.
    Community Answer
The more you have, the more there is to view. Fifty-six is better than five, and should give any viewers a lot of content at which to look.
  • Question
I have been on deviantART for 4 years, I have very few favs, and the only person who comments is my best friend. Should I leave DA?
    Community Answer
It's actually your choice, but I encourage you to continue working, and try to improve your art. Lots of artists work for years without getting any recognition, so you are not alone. Try not to get discouraged.
  • Question
Why is my posted art blurry?
    Community Answer
You may be uploading images with small resolutions.
  • Question
Why would I have page views, but no downloads?
    Community Answer
It may be because your art needs some improvements. The higher the art quality, the more attention it may attract.
  • Question
How do I get feedback on deviantArt?
    Community Answer
Ask for it. Most people will only say “cute” or “looks good” unless you say that you want feedback/constructive criticism. It doesn’t always work, but being direct about what you're looking for is the best way to go about it.
  • Question
How can I reset my password if I forgot it?
    Community Answer
Just click "Forgot Password or Username?" on the login screen and follow the steps.
  • Question
I don't really have art, what can I do to get my writing noticed?
    Community Answer
Find interesting topics to write about. Try focusing on a certain age and category, and base it on something original and appealing, or something that most people like these days. (Which so happen to be things like historic fiction, science fiction, dystopias, etc.)
  • Question
What is the best tablet for drawing?
    Community Answer
It really depends on what your preference is for size. There is no "best" tablet. Try avoiding getting the bigger ones, unless you like lots of room to work with. Consider going for something small first, like a Wacom Pen & Touch (small).
  • Question
Everyone hates my art. How do I get them to like it?
    Community Answer
Try to look at popular artists, and see what common factors they all share. Also, it is very important to constantly work and improve your art. You can find tutorials all over internet on how to draw this and that.
  • Question
I'm left-handed and I use a mouse pad. How do I improve my art when I am restricted?
    Community Answer
Get a bamboo pad, or one of those computer pad things that include a stylus.
  • Question
How do I get more watchers on DeviantArt?
    Almatheus Valentine
    Community Answer
Improve your art, be inspired by the best deviants, be creative, submit content often to keep your gallery fresh, buy a premium membership, be sociable and friendly, interact with your watchers to keep them interested, star deviations you like, watch people you get inspired by, participate in art competition events (improves exposure), send constructive opinions as feedback to people, reply to people who star your deviation or watch you, and join well-known groups to show your art to hundreds of people (for example, the #Art-Zone).
  • Question
People are liking my art, but none of my writing has any comments. How can I get feedback on my writing?
    Community Answer
Ask them for it! Tell them somewhere on your page that you want feedback, and see what happens. If nobody is looking at your writing, perhaps you could mention it in the caption of one of your art pieces. Chances are that if they like your art, they will be interested in your writing too.
  • Question
I've had a deviantArt account for a while now. I didn't use it for a couple years and came back to find most my old friends or watchers had gone. How can i rebuild my presence there again?
    Community Answer
People tend to enjoy active accounts. If you haven't posted in a while, then they might think you aren't returning. Try to post daily if you can, even if it is sketches or plans you have for future art, they'll know you'll be coming back. Also, try to communicate with people and reach out, you might meet some new friends.
