It takes a few weeks for the seeds to sprout and grow into healthy seedlings. But you can harvest hemp as soon as the seeds start to develop, which takes about 4 months. If you harvest them sooner, the stems won't be as sturdy and fibrous.

Yes, hemp does have CBD, but it needs to be extracted from large quantities of plant material to be concentrated enough to be of any medicinal use. The seeds of hemp plants do not contain any CBD, so hemp seed oil doesn't either. Much of the CBD that's used medicinally was extracted from industrial hemp plants.
