QuestionI want to make a nightlight sensor but I can't find an opaque. Where can I find one?Entity303Community AnswerAn opaque block is any block you can’t see through. It doesn’t refer to one specific block, but many.
-
QuestionCan I just use a red stone lamp and a lever?OviDoviCommunity AnswerYou can, but you will need to turn on the lamp every night and turn it off during the day.
-
QuestionAre there any other Minecraft techniques similar to this one?The_Noble_JediCommunity AnswerWell, the daylight sensor is the only sure fire way to get a light/door to open at night. You could, however, set a pressure plate inside a one block wide house and spawn a villager outside it. At night he will enter to stay safe and stand on the pressure plate, turning on the light/door.

QuestionI wan't to make a night light, but I don't know what an opaque is. Where do I find it?Entity303Community AnswerOpaque isn’t a block. It describes a block. An opaque block is any block that isn’t transparent, meaning you can’t see through it.

QuestionWhy doesn't my daylight sensor turn into a night sensor when I click it?GerbilloverCommunity AnswerYou cannot do this. Instead, you must set up a redstone not gate to reverse the effect.
-
QuestionHow do I make a redstone?Markus LauCommunity AnswerMine it when you are mining below level 12 in Minecraft or find it near lava.

QuestionI'm not very experienced with Minecraft can somebody give easier instructions?Caleb Aidan CastilloCommunity AnswerYes. Go to creative mode to make the job easier, and search daylight sensor. Select it then a random slot in you're hotbar, just make sure there's nothing in it. Now place the sensor wherever you want and to turn it into a nighttime sensor get close to it, and right click it, if on mobile there will be a button. Now to make something turn on at night time, make a redstone path to what you want to turn on at night. There you go, mission accomplished.
