QuestionWhat do I do if my simple flying machine doesn't work in Minecraft?Community AnswerIt could be too close to the ground, or it might also have the wrong types of pistons facing the wrong ways. But what's more likely is that you have the wrong edition. There's a cross-compatible version of Minecraft that spans many devices which supports very different kinds of flying machines. If you've ever played Minecraft not on a computer (or your friend not on a computer), you likely have this "Bedrock Edition."
-
QuestionWould this need a specific stickiness around the pistons?Community AnswerThe pistons are the ones that face forward. The sticky pistons are the ones facing backward, because they pull blocks toward them.
-
QuestionCan I make a simple flying machine in Minecraft for the Nintendo Switch?Community AnswerYes, but flying machine designs are comparatively limited compared to the Java Edition of Minecraft due to different redstone mechanics, so not all designs may work.

-
QuestionHow do you tell it to steer go higher and go lower?Community AnswerYou can't because Minecraft has a steering wheel and it can only go up. That's the main reason it is called a flying machine.

QuestionMy flying machine in general won’t work. What’s up?Community AnswerIf it is too close to the ground, it won't work. Try putting it higher up. At least 1 block off the ground. If that's not your problem, maybe there is too many blocks. A piston can only push up to 12 blocks, so that could be the problem, too. If none of those things work, try restarting your game launcher.
