I inserted my bios file into the PCSX2 and it loads perfectly but when I insert a PS2 disk game it doesn't play. Why not?

Make sure your game is a .iso file and is not in a zipped folder. If it is in a zipped folder, unzip it. To make sure it is an iso file, its icon while browsing through files displays as a CD.

What do I do if the PS2 game I'm playing on my PC is running slow?

Try looking for better emulators. Or clearing your RAM by stopping unnecessary apps from working in the background. You can also download performance boosters, this won't fix your games directly, but will help the computer do it's job of giving you the best it can. Console video games are coded and built for specific computers, since all consoles are built differently. This is why emulators are needed, to "trick" the game into thinking it's being played on the machine it's made for. No emulator is perfect, so there will be lag in some places. PC and console games are coded differently. Hacking your game to rip assets and data from it, then use a game engine to rebuild them, isn't easy.

Why does my laptop require a PS2 memory card when playing PS2 games on PCSX2?

The games are coded differently to understand that there will be an external memory source. You can trick them into thinking they have one by creating a digital memory card, which is basically a folder that tricks the game into thinking it's a real memory card.
