    Just the front side. Oiling the other side will cause oil to transfer to your clothing. If the belt is extremely dry, you can apply oil to that side, but wear the belt with darker colored clothing the first couple of times you wear it.

    Alcohol is very drying, so no, don't use it. Vaseline tends to sit on the surface of leather, so it won't do much good. It would be better to use a dishwashing soap or non-scented hand soap and olive or vegetable oil.
