I feel this really depends on how large you intend your college or university to be. A lot of factors must be considered, including: where is your college located?; is it going to be accredited (meaning it is recognized by the United States government and other colleges as able to give degrees? Your college or university does NOT need to be accredited to open for business, but this is a good idea for a lot of reasons); is your college going to have a physical address or is it only online, or both?, etc. I would recommend at least $52,200 to get your college started, but the more you have the better.
