      • If you want to frequently over-write the data on your CD, you can use a re-writable (CD-RW) disk, but keep in mind that they're usually more expensive and operate at a slower speed. If you use CD-R (write-once) discs, you cannot re-record over your data because it's permanent. In this case, you may want to buy a Compact Disc Eraser to securely wipe out those personal or confidential discs.
