Remove uploaded contacts from Facebook

Do you want to turn off Facebook's access to your phone contacts? Before you can fully delete contacts from Facebook, you'll need to turn off "continuous contact uploading". Luckily, this will only take a few steps. Here's how to unsync contacts from Facebook using your computer, iPhone, iPad, and Android device.

Quick Steps

  1. Open Settings & privacy and select Settings .
  2. Tap Accounts Center .
  3. Tap Your information and permissions .
  4. Tap Upload contacts and select your account.
  5. Toggle off Upload contacts .
  6. Tap Learn More to delete synced contacts.

    Restart the Facebook app. If you can't delete your contacts using the methods above, you may need to restart the app to fix minor software bugs. Close the app completely, and then try deleting contacts again.
