Norwex cloths are a great addition to any home, especially when it comes to spring cleaning! With a Window Cloth by your side, you’re ready to clean all the windows and glass surfaces in your home to buffed perfection! All you need is water and a little elbow grease to have your Norwex Window Cloth functioning at maximum efficiency. You can also use the Norwex EnviroCloth to add an extra layer of sparkle to your cleaning process. All Norwex cloths are easy to wash, and can be cleaned with a normal washing machine cycle or some running water.
Things You Should Know
- Spritz your glass or stainless steel surface with water, then polish it with a dry Window Cloth.
- For heavy stains, wipe down the surface with a damp EnviroCloth, then finish cleaning it with the Window Cloth.
- Wash your Window Cloth in the washing machine on a normal wash cycle with mild detergent and cold water.
Steps
-
Spritz the glass with water. Take a spray bottle filled with cool or lukewarm water and lightly mist the glass surface or mirror. Don’t use too much water—the Window Cloth only needs a little bit of moisture to buff and clean any streaks off of glass. [1] X Research source
- If you want to do a more thorough cleaning, start by wiping down the surface with a damp EnviroCloth.
- You don’t need to use a special glass cleaner, since Window Cloths can disinfect areas with just water. [2] X Research source
- Window Cloths can also be used on chrome, crystal, and stainless steel.
-
Fold the Window Cloth in half twice so it looks like a small square. Take the cloth and fold it lengthwise so the material resembles a square shape. Next, make the cloth more compact by folding it in half again. Folding the cloth makes it easier to manage throughout the cleaning process. [3] X Research sourceAdvertisement

Start a normal wash cycle with mild detergent and cold water. Pour less than 0.25 cups (59 mL) of mild detergent into the washing machine. [9] X Research source Choose a light or normal spin speed with cool or cold water when you go to start the load. [10] X Research source For extra security, place your Window Cloths in a mesh laundry bag before sticking them in the washing machine. [11] X Research source
- Don’t use bleach or fabric softener, as these will damage the material.
- You can also use a washer to clean your EnviroCloths.
-
Dry your Window Cloth in the dryer with Norwex dryer balls. Remove your window cloths from the mesh bag before transferring them to the dryer. Norwex makes special dryer balls that work as fabric softener for the microfiber material without damaging it in the process. Add these balls to the machine before starting a normal drying cycle at a low to moderate temperature. [12] X Research source
- If the material is still damp when it comes out of the dryer, let the Window Cloth air-dry for a few hours.
-
Wash your Window Cloth by hand if you’d prefer not to use a washer. Soak the Window Cloth under running water before folding it in half lengthwise. Once folded, rub both halves against one another to remove any dirt and grime. Wring any excess water out of the material before leaving it to air-dry overnight. [13] X Research source
- Add a tiny amount of dish soap during the rubbing process if you want your Window Cloth to be extra clean. [14]
