  1. Holding yourself in an erect posture can help make your boobs bigger. Stand up straight with your shoulders back and your arms at your sides. [1]
  2. Many companies now offer padded bras or sculpted shapewear that can make the size of your breasts appear larger, while also keeping your boobs feeling and looking natural. Buy and wear either padded bras or more structured shapewear like a corset to enhance the size of your breasts.
    • Get fitted for the right size bra by a professional. You can ask clerks in lingerie or department stores to fit you and suggest the best size bra for you.
    • Purchase a bra or shapewear with underwire to help further boost your bust.
    • Consider the different clothing that you want to wear the padded bras and shapewear under. Buy several different options for items such as low-cut tops or sweaters, dresses, or t-shirts.
    • Look at your boobs in the bra. The cups should be full but not spilling over the front or out the sides.
  3. Cookies and cutlets are silicone implants you place inside your bra to make your boobs look even bigger. Insert a pair of cutlets or cookies at a strategic place in your bra to achieve the specific boob enhancing effect. For example:
    • Put the cookie on the outside of each breast for deeper cleavage
    • Put the cutlet under your boob to give heavier boobs more lift
    • Tape the cookie so that it touches just above your nipple, while still covering it, to make your boobs look perky and youthful.
    • Double-up with cutlets and a padded bra for maximum boost.
  4. The type of top you wear can make a big difference in how your boobs look. Wearing fitted tops or ones with details can make your chest look bigger and more curvaceous.
    • Buy tops that are fitted or have darts that cinch in your waist.
    • Wear tops with detailing that can enhance the size of your boobs like ruffles.
    • Wear a belt to cinch in your waist, which can make your boobs look bigger.
  5. Shadows and highlights can often help make your boobs look bigger. Apply highlighters or bronzers to strategic parts of your boobs to enhance their appearance.
    • Dab a bit of highlighter on the upper area of your breast. Make sure to blend it in so that it isn’t obvious and reflects the light to make your boobs look bigger.
    • Use a bronzer either between your breasts or to outline them to make them appear larger.

  1. Breasts are made up of three kinds of tissue that includes fat. Putting on some weight may increase the size of your breasts, though it may also increase your size overall, too.
    • Eat healthy fats such as avocados and lean meats such as chicken to help yourself gain weight. Avoid eating junk food, which may make you feel sluggish and unhealthy.
  2. Do some strength training exercises that can help boost your chest. They won’t necessarily make your boobs bigger, but they can you’re your chest area firmer and appear more perky. [2] Aim to do up to four sets of 8 repetitions of the following exercises:
    • Push ups
    • Chest presses
    • Dumbbell rows
    • Rear lateral raises. [3]
  3. There are a lot of different supplements and creams on the market that claim to make boobs bigger. However, there is little evidence that they work and they may have considerable side effects. [4]
    • Watch out for serious drug interactions with medications such as blood thinners if you decide to try supplements. [5]
    • Look for natural breast enhancement supplements that contain different herbs including saw palmetto and wild yam. In some cases, supplement packaging may also discuss the benefits of phytoestrogens in these herbs on breast size. Currently, there is no medical evidence that shows phytoestrogens can make your boobs bigger. [6]
    • Check for other herbs such as pueraria mirifica, blessed thistle, fenugreek seed, fennel seed, and dong qual.
  4. Medications and pregnancy can stimulate hormones that may make your breasts larger. However, you should avoid getting pregnant or using medication just to make your boobs bigger. [7] Some medications that may enhance the size of your chest include:
    • Estrogen from hormone therapy
    • Birth control pills
    • Antidepressants such as Prozac or Sarafem (fluoxetine). [8]

Undergoing Surgical Augmentation

  1. Before you commit to undergoing any type of surgery to make your boobs bigger, speak to your doctor or a plastic surgeon. She can inform you of the risks and benefits of surgical procedures. [9]
    • Tell your doctor your goals for the surgery to help you develop realistic expectations for the procedure. [10]
    • Ask questions you have about the surgery, risks, complications, and after-care. [11]
    • Answer any questions the doctor has for you about your expectations and medical history.
  2. There are a couple of different types of surgical augmentation for boobs. Learning about them can help you and your doctor make the right decision for you. [12] You can have the following types of breast augmentation:
    • Silicone implants, which are pre-filled and placed under the breast tissue and mimic the feel of human fat. Silicone implants are available to any woman over the age of 22 and any woman of any age for breast reconstruction. [13]
    • Saline implants, which are also placed under the breast tissue but are not pre-filled. Once in place, they’re filled with sterile salt water. Saline implants are available to any woman over 18 and anyone for breast reconstruction. [14]
    • Fat grafting, which takes fat from another part of the body such as the thigh, and then injected into your breasts. [15] It can take 4-6 sessions to achieve the results you want with fat grafting. [16]
  3. No surgery is risk-free, and breast augmentation can come with significant risk. Learning about these risks can help you decide if surgery is the right decision for you. [17] [18] Some of the risks include:
    • Development of scar tissue that can distort the shape of your implant and breast
    • Pain
    • Infection
    • Changes in sensation to the nipples and breasts
    • Leakage or rupture of the implant. [19]
    • Reabsorption of injected fat cells and loss of breast volume over time
    • Stimulation of dormant breast cancer cells by injecting fat cells
    • Necrosis, or dying, of some of the breast tissue. [20]
  4. After speaking to your doctor and learning about the risks, make a decision about having surgery. Read any documentation related to the surgery and consider other factors related to surgery before making your final decision. Think about:
    • Sagging, which breast implants won’t prevent
    • Durability, because breast implants can’t last a lifetime
    • Complicated mammograms or routine MRIs because of implants
    • Potential inability to breast-free
    • Cost, because most insurance won’t cover augmentation unless it’s medically necessary. [21] The average cost is $3,708. [22]
  5. If you’ve decided to have breast augmentation surgery, schedule the procedure for a convenient time. Make sure to get any pre-surgical testing and follow post-op instructions. [23]
    • Get a mammogram before the surgery if your doctor suggests it. [24]
    • Stop smoking before the surgery. Your doctor will let you know how long you should avoid smoking. [25]
    • Avoid medications before surgery that can increase bleeding, such as aspirin. [26]
    • Arrange for someone to drive you home from the hospital. [27]
    • Ask questions about post-op care if necessary and schedule follow-up visits with your doctor. Make sure to follow any instructions your doctor gives your for caring for your implants. [28]

Yes. A typical surgery might include placing silicone implants in both breasts. One would be probably larger than the other, and then you might even actually need to have differential profiles and a surgeon who uses intra-operative sizing. This is very important to determine how to correct this. In very drastic situations, you could need a breast expander where you put in a volume-enhancing product that actually expands over time and then you remove it approximately three to six months later and replace it with a permanent implant as the breast is allowed to grow and match the other breast. Oftentimes there's a mastopexy that needs to be performed because the one breast may be just too big and that needs to be reduced or the nipple position needs to be moved to match the other breast. This is more common with asymmetry due to breastfeeding.

You want to discuss how the operation will be performed and what your specific goals are. It's a good idea to come to the consultation with photos of what your desired goals are. That way your surgeon can get a better sense of what you're looking for and if it's realistic. You want to make sure that your surgeon really understands what you're looking for.
