Teresa started last year a time capsule for wikiHow (you can read original thread). A little while ago, Illneedasaviour reminded us of this, and we’ve gotten to see the progress we’ve made: http://forums.wikihow.com/discussion/comment/98491/ So, this thread is posting for what we hope to accomplish/do in the next year. In August 2014, we’ll see what we’ve accomplished and have done differently than the year before (2013). I’ll start: In 2014, I hope to… *Average 3-6 hours on the website *Become a New Article Booster *Be a Welcomer in the Welcome Wagon tool *Write 10 Featured Articles *Have a total of 30 Rising Stars *Get workin’ on the Youth Project again *Become close to the community as an individual *Patrol over 150,000 edits *Get another barnstar *Write a total of 150 articles *Edit the Spanish wikiHow more Probably a lot more but this is what I can think of at the moment. Posted in the other thread as a ‘bookmark’ - Continuing to not care for the world about my wikiHow stats. - Continuing to hunt down low quality in Google results/search (kill off unnecessary abbreviations, misspellings, wording, etc) - Continuing to help out with non-English wikiHows on a regular basis. - Get my redirect list project done?

by 2014 I hope to… * Earn a barnstar * Write some more articles * Start saving nfd’s again * Start helping out with the youth project again *Become an admin (or get fairly close) But most importantly… * Get a wikiBoyfriend!!!:smiley:Nahh only joking…but that would be awesome:wink:

Goals for August 2014: - Adapt to the site redesign - Take less wikiBreaks - Attend the North American meetup in May - Help get the NAB number down to less than 100 again - Improve on coaching skills and patrolling patrollers - Write another FA (or at least finish the ones saved in my drafts) - Find an ongoing project I can work on

(off the top of my head) 20,000 patrols 10,000 edits 10-15 articles total Get NABer status, maybe admin And biggest thing by far: to have told my mum about wikiHow and get to go down to London next August and meet some of you guys:slight_smile:

For time capsule into 2014, I’m hoping I can do a lot of other things I didn’t do when I first set up most of my articles: add screenshots to the articles that need this type of work to be done. Other things I hope to do by this time 2014. Get a few step by step photos articles ready, and even have several others done. I also have high hopes that I’ll publish at least one article that needs screenshots, and in that same initial creation-edit, I’ll have those screenshots in the article’s first Contribution. I know I’ve done one earlier this year, where, within 24 hours of publishing, I added the screenshots, transforming an article from nothing to RS and FAC within a small matter of time. That definitely made me ecstatic and want me to achieve a higher “goal”. I also want to have at least one Featured article per month, but I know that probably won’t happen. And before I truthfully forget: I’d like to create an article somewhere in the range of 850 to 1000. I know it’s large, but I can’t think of too many at the moment. I’m hoping to achieve 666 by Christmas 2013, but I’m not trying to play "Devils Advocate’’ here, but this number is only said and done in pure fun for a week of being “silent” on writing articles after 666 is written/published. I’ve achieved this years goals including being an NABer now, and maybe I can achieve next years goals. I know I’m going to be a little bit behind already, but if I push wherever I can, I can possibly meet some of these goals.

*Find time to log on to wikiHow at least once a week. *Get the NAB number down. *Fix up the video game articles/categories. *Add links to most of the dead-end pages.
