(My newest information will be in bold, but I’ll repaste what I had last year.
1.) Create an article somewhere in the range of 850 to 1000. I’m right now in the 770 range and would like to be within that number between now and Christmas this year. (Although 883 is less than what I was hoping to accomplish in the given time period, being that most of these articles are high quality, I know I have achieved this task for 2014-2015. However, I will continue to shoot for 1000 in the 2015-2016 capsule.)
2.) Take a large lead in helping in the Method Editor tool. (This Dashboard tool is defunct, however, at the time this was written in 2014 and throughout most of the 2014-2015 time, I was helping out in adding these alternate methods that come up through the tool (s). Therefore, this capsule item will not carry over to 2016.
3.) Update screenshots to the new “green design” of articles dealing with the site. In the past, I only gave consideration to the article’s I’ve started and gave little consideration to those having screenshots already. (Nope. Couldn’t accomplish this at all, though I intend to hope to get a few done for 2016 time capsule.)
4.) Help on a few other merges. With the help of other spreadsheets I was given access to from other forum threads on this issue, I’ve helped reduce the number by a bunch, and would like to reduce those that have incorrectly placed templates. I’d like to drive that one side down to few, along with at least 1 or 2 of those that have accurately-placed templates. ( Lost the will to merge articles or take care of those that were incorrectly placed and take care of the process according to policy, though I still have a copy of the link sitting on my Windows desktop waiting to be done. Perhaps I will get around to this in 2016; we’ll have to wait and see what I can and cannot do (assuming my time restraints don’t put too much burdeon on me.))
5.) Attend another wikiHow meetup. Although I’m always hoping that there’d be something on the East coast I could travel to easily, I’d be happy to take whatever I can get. Oh yeah, staying more than 3 days is actually key. I felt I didn’t have too much time and by the time I got to the area this past year, my vacation felt “over” (and I’d love to be able to change that in the upcoming year’s version.) (Couldn’t make it to the wikiHow meetup in 2015(Montreal,QC,Canada), but would be willing to come next year, assuming there is no change in city schedule for the next meetup in Portland!)
6.) Become a Welcome Wagon user. Having started wikihow.com/Become-a-Welcome-Wagon-User-on-wikiHow
(based on a split-off from Adelaide’s wikihow.com/Use-the-Welcome-Wagon-Tool-on-wikiHow
. (I think I set too high a bar in 2014 for 2015’s time capsule. I couldn’t get through this, or even get a start on trying out for it.)
7.) Help work on expanding the wikiDictionary (much like @Alabaster
thoughtful expansion). (I helped on occasion with this, though I wasn’t too helpful in this dictionary in the last year. I much intend to pull this over into 2016 too.)
8.) Create a few more UIB’s, where other UIBs are needed (yes, I’ll still be searching to ensure no duplicates) Are there any pages onsite that can quickly show where other UIBs are needed @Krystle
@Anna
? (Finally, there IS something I can say is COMPLETE from my end for 2015, though I occasionally find the need and use to create a few more from time to time, so this is a rather endless project.)
Additions for 2015- 2016 capsule.
10.) Although my own personal pet project I’ve mentioned to only a select group, I’d like to start another project. Although I’ve called my personal pet project the “Theme Park creation Project”, I’d like to start it publicly. More details to come, as soon as I can start this one (after I do the research and such. I’d highly doubt there would be others, but to comply with policy, I’ll check!).
