Did you know you can create more than one Facebook account? You'll just need to sign out of your current account to start making a new one. Once you verify the new account, you can use it to find friends, Like pages, and browse content like usual. Here's how to make a new Facebook account on your iPhone, iPad, Android, or computer.

To make a new Facebook account, log out of your current account. Click Get Started or Create a new account . Enter your name, date of birth, a new email address, and password.

  1. Tap the Facebook app icon, which resembles a dark-blue box with a white f on it.

    • If you're already logged into an account, tap , scroll down, and then tap Log out .

  4. Both fields must be filled.
  5. Use the drop-down menu to select a Month, Day, and Year.
  6. You can select Female , Male , or More options for more selections.
  7. If you'd rather sign up with your phone number instead, enter it in the Mobile number field and tap Next .
  8. You'll need this email to confirm your account later.
  9. Make sure to use a secure password that can't be guessed easily .
  10. If you're using a device that isn't yours, or if you don't want to save your information, tap Not now instead.
  11. This is the blue button.
    • If you're prompted for a verification code, open the email address that you used to create your Facebook account, look for the code in the subject line of the email from Facebook, and enter the code on the Facebook prompt.

  1. Go to https://www.facebook.com/ in a web browser. This will open your News Feed page if you're logged in.
    • If you're already logged into an account, click your profile picture in the top-right corner, and then click Log out .
  2. This is the green button.
  3. Both fields must be filled out.
  4. Click the month drop-down box and select the month of your birth, then repeat this step for the day and year drop-down boxes.
  5. You can select Female , Male or Custom .
  6. Type a working email address to which you currently have access into the Mobile number or email field, then add the address to the Re-enter email field that appears below it.
  7. Type the password that you want to use into the "New password" text field.
  8. This is the green button.
  9. Go to the inbox for the email address that you used to sign up for Facebook and sign in if needed. Open the email from Facebook.
    • In most cases, you'll just need to click a link to verify your account. You may be asked to provide a code instead.
