    Community Answer
You can get it at any shop which sells chemicals. If not, you can buy it online.
  • Question
Will these steps work for metal rings?
    Community Answer
Most likely, but it depends on the type of metal.
  • Question
What kind of paint should I use to color metal for figures?
    Community Answer
Use self-etching primer first, and then any paint you'd like! Enamels tend to be best on something outside that will see a lot of contact.
  • Question
What chemical can I buy to turn metal black?
    Community Answer
Sculpt Nouveau has a number of products that will do this. See their website and read the product manual.
  • Question
How can I change a brass colored finish on a shower door frame to an oiled bronze finish?
    Community Answer
Traditionally, you'd sand it down and apply your new finish, but there are also chemicals that you can put on metal that can cause a reaction like the one you're looking for. If you wanted to age it and maybe cause an early rust, you could put a patina on it. If it doesn't turn out satisfactory to you, then sand it and refinish it like you were probably going to have to do anyway.
  • Question
How do I change a bright galvanized chain link fence to a dull color without paint?
    Community Answer
Oil or alkyd-based paints are not recommended for use on galvanized steel. Instead, you should use a metal primer specifically designed for use on galvanized steel. This can then be followed with a coat of latex paint.
