First, follow ALL the steps in the guide. Then go to your Roaming folder (On Windows, do CTRL+R, then type %appdata%). Click the .minecraft folder, then click on mods. Download a mod the same version of the Forge you downloaded. Drag the file you downloaded to the mods folder. Exit the folder, then run Minecraft. Then you should have it.
