  • Question
What kind of orders should I give my squad?
    Community Answer
That depends pretty heavily on the situation. Here are some scenarios: If you are losing because the firepower on the other team is too intense, then have your front line troops regroup and have your snipers counterattack. But if your enemies have snipers that are pressuring your team, then you should either have your snipers fight fire with fire or send your recons, scouts, and assassins to take care of them.
  • Question
Should my team establish code words and basic hand signals?
    Community Answer
It's not that important. But if you're really concerned about the enemy knowing your plans then you can try.
  • Question
Would a modded retaliator work for a sniper, and could the sniper be the leader?
    Community Answer
Yes, it would work wonderfully. I have been a sniper/leader myself with a modded retaliator.
  • Question
Can I have a Nerf engineer modify my gun?
    Community Answer
If he's good, sure, like why not?
  • Question
How many gun(s) should I have if I have a low amount of supplies? My current arsenal is 1 cross-bow, 1 retaliator, and 1 jolt, as well as an orange fire-strike elite.
    Gpgp Mouse
    Community Answer
Two should be enough. The retaliator could serve as your prime gun and the firestrike as a secondary. If the crossbow is zombie strike then use it instead of a firestrike, but if not use it as a tertiary. If you feel more comfortable with it than firestrike, use it as a secondary.
  • Question
Could a commander be the team medic?
    Community Answer
Yes, that's fine if you have a limited number of people.
  • Question
What if my squad only has 3 members?
    Community Answer
Go with a support gunner and two people on assault. Use a Nerf Elite Hyperfire for support, and maybe some Stryfes for assault!
  • Question
My 10-year-old son's play style is running and gunning. What are the best primary and backup Nerf guns for him to play with?
    Community Answer
Consider a Rapidstrike CS-18 as his primary and a Strongarm or Disruptor as his sidearm.
  • Question
Do I have to have a secret base?
    Community Answer
As long as you know your base is secure and can't be attacked, you don't need it to be secret.
  • Question
My arsenal is a Slingfire, Crossbolt, Apollo, Cycloneshock, Double Strike, Big Shot, and Jolt. Any suggestions about what class I should do and what blasters I can use?
    Community Answer
As the Apollo is accurate, use it (or the Slingfire, if you're more comfortable with that) to be a sniper. Consider using the Double Strike as your secondary, but remember extra darts.
  • Question
Can a group be more than 20 people?
    Community Answer
A group could be around 20 people, if you wanted to have a large game. You could also split the group and have around 10 on each side.
  • Question
Would a Centurion work as a sniper?
    Dragonlover51
    Community Answer
Yes, provided you are close enough to be accurate, as the larger darts will fall quicker over distance.
  • Question
How do I get people to join my squad?
    Community Answer
Tell them to play nerf with you. Ask them if they like nerf, if they say yes they should join you.
  • Question
Do I have to have the guns from the pictures?
    Community Answer
No. These are just suggestions or examples of weapons you can have in the war. Just be sure you know how to operate them.
  • Question
What if my team is way outnumbered by the other team?
    Community Answer
Don't panic, you might actually have an advantage! A small team is easier to manage. Work together to come up with a smart plan of attack.
  • Question
Can the Commander use a Rapid Strike or a Stryfe instead of the weapons mentioned?
    Community Answer
Yes. It works a bit better, but it's heavier.
  • Question
How much is a Nerf Rapidstrike?
    Community Answer
It's going to depend on the vendor you purchase it from and how long it's been out when you buy it, but probably between $35-40 in the US.
  • Question
My arsenal includes 1 demolisher, 1 strongarm, 2 nightfinders, 1 barricade, I triad, 1 jolt and a roughcut. What should I use for a simple nerf war?
    Community Answer
Use your demolisher as primary, strongarm as secondary and dual night finders as backup.
  • Question
    Does the Strongarm kill?
    Community Answer
No, but there are illegal mods that can kill someone in just a few shots.
  • Question
What would be a good secondary for a sniper, and is it better to use a modded sniper?
    Carmph
    Community Answer
Most snipers don't shoot very far, so it would be a good idea to mod them. As for a secondary to a sniper, you might want something like a Strongarm or Hammershot.
  • Question
If my commander gets taken out, what should I do?
    Community Answer
I'm pretty sure you should get the medic to heal the commander. That's the most logical choice. If that, however, is not possible, I would suggest making someone else a temporary commander or else your team would be in total anarchy. If you don't do this, or if the rules don't allow it, the game is as good as lost.
  • Question
What kind of weapon(s) would be good for a "Spartan," like the halo 1 to 5 Spartans?
    Community Answer
Boomco makes some halo blasters. They shoot really far, and have the look and feel of halo guns.
  • Question
How do I pick the right role with my Nerf gun?
    Community Answer
It depends on what play style you like. If you like being that annoying run-and-gunner, you are a scout. If you like supporting your team so you can keep the heat, you are a medic. If like staying out of your friends' battle but you like to troll them, you are a sniper. If you like the HyperFire, Infinus, Mega Mastodon, or other machine gun, you are a heavy.
  • Question
My Retaliator's range is bad. Are there ways around this?
    Community Answer
Replacing the spring is one way. You can also take off the barrel attachment (Nerf darts hit the inner edge of the barrel, making it less ranged), or just get a better gun. You can get a Tri Strike, a Rampage (if you want a spring gun), a Rapid Strike or a Hyper Fire (if you want an electric gun).
  • Question
What should the recon group do in a Nerf war?
    Community Answer
A recon group should be able to stealthily observe the enemy. To do this, they should be able to move quickly when spotted, but still have enough firepower to protect themselves.
  • Question
My arsenal is a Recon MK2, a Hammershot, a Scravenger, a Scout MK2 and a Zombie Strike machete. What should I be?
    Carmph
    Community Answer
If you're good at running around, you should probably be a scout. If you don't have very good agility, you might just want to be a soldier.
  • Question
Would an ECS-10 with stealth barrel, standard clip stock, and a stealth ight work as a sniper, or a stealth? It can have 5 bullets in the clip, and putting more will cause it to jam.
    Community Answer
Maybe, but if you want a sniper, put on the extension barrel and then the stealth.
  • Question
As a relatively avid Nerf enthusiast, I am well aware that there is no such thing as a "Nerf turret." How could I create one?
    TriteAndJaded
    Community Answer
You could probably modify a Terrascout to stay in one position and automatically shoot anyone wearing a certain shirt color. This would require people to wear shirt colors based on teams.
  • Question
What does being an engineer really mean in a Nerf squad?
    SonicDart
    Community Answer
It means being able to fix a jam, diagnose a problem, or completely mod or fix another’s blaster.
  • Question
Can I use a modded Retaliator and a Split Strike as a sniper?
    Community Answer
Yes. The Retaliator would be a good choice for a sniper primary. The Split Strike would make a suitable secondary. But I would consider using a scope with the Retaliator
