How can I tell if my computer has Windows?

If it is a laptop, then flip it on the back side, which should be the bottom, and if it has a Windows sticker on it then it has Windows. If it is a computer, then look on your keyboard and you should have a Windows symbol on one of the keys. If it's a Mac, all you'll see are Apple symbols.

How do I copy photos from my pictures to my iPad?

You have to have iTunes installed on your PC. Then, connect your iPad to the computer with a cable, launch iTunes, and click on the photos tab. You can then select "Synch photos from" and click "Choose folder" from the drop-down menu and select your picture folder. Now that the folder is on iTunes, you can select the photos you want to transfer to your iPad, or transfer them all. Finally, click the Synch/Apply button at the bottom right of the page.
