If someone shares a video with you on Facebook Messenger, you can tap it to play it in the conversation. But what if you want to watch the video offline? If someone sends you a video from their computer, phone, or tablet through Messenger, you can easily save it to your camera roll or gallery. If you want to save a video from the Facebook app (not Messenger) to your phone or tablet, it's also pretty easy to do as long as the video is not private—just be careful, as downloading streaming videos may violate your region's copyright laws. Quick Steps

  1. Open the chat containing the video.
  2. Tap and hold the video.
