The catalytic converter is an important part of your vehicle, but there are easy signs to tell if it's the part giving you trouble. Lit check engine light

A bad converter triggers sensors that will turn the engine light on. Your vehicle has oxygen sensors that connect to the catalytic converter and monitor the emissions your vehicle produces.
