How to Apologize to Your Boyfriend via Text
Relationship coach Kelli Miller, LCSW, MSW suggests apologizing sincerely and following up with actions to show him how remorseful you are. Be clear and specific in your apology. Say things like:
- “I’ve been upset all night thinking about the fact that I yelled at you. I'm so sorry.”
- “I was completely in the wrong to have called you those names.”
- “I shouldn’t have lost my temper with you and I feel awful. Please forgive me.”

Tips
- Try to apologize sooner rather than later. Taking too much time to apologize after you’ve made a mistake can make it harder for you and your boyfriend to see eye-to-eye. [12] X Expert Source John Keegan
