QuestionWhenever I used to study I would fall asleep within 15 or 20 minutes.Do you have any tips to overcome this matter?Emily Listmann is a Private Tutor and Life Coach in Santa Cruz, California. In 2018, she founded Mindful & Well, a natural healing and wellness coaching service. She has worked as a Social Studies Teacher, Curriculum Coordinator, and an SAT Prep Teacher. She received her MA in Education from the Stanford Graduate School of Education in 2014. Emily also received her Wellness Coach Certificate from Cornell University and completed the Mindfulness Training by Mindful Schools.Your best bet is to choose a time of day for studying when you are most alert. That will most likely be in the morning, right after you have woken up. Or you might have more energy right after getting exercise. You could also try taking more frequent breaks in which you stand up and stretch or go for a quick walk to keep your body alert. You may also be falling asleep frequently for lack of sleep at night. Make sure you read the section above about how much sleep to allot for yourself and how to ensure you get enough rest.

QuestionIf I have a test tomorrow, what time should I go to bed?Pink_StarCommunity AnswerGo to bed early to make sure that you get enough rest. The more sleep you get, the easier it will be for you to focus and remember the information you need. Experts generally recommend that kids in elementary and middle school get between 9 and 11 hours of sleep per night, while kids in high school should get 8 to 10 hours of sleep.
