  • Question
If we sealed the concrete, would that extend the cleaning requirement for a longer period of time?
    Community Answer
Absolutely. That's one main reason for sealing and it works quite well, but does have to be re-applied every 3-5 years.
  • Question
What is the best way to remove oil/petrol from tarmac?
    Community Answer
The chemical compound tri-sodium phosphate (TSP) removes dense areas of oil or grease from concrete surfaces.
  • Question
Which tip works best to clean concrete and what color is it?
    Ron Lobley
    Community Answer
A Green 15° or a long Black 'Turbo Tip'. That has the same high pressure nozzle that the Red 0° High-Pressure has, but the Turbo one rotates around and creates about a 3 inch circle of complete high pressure removing power.
  • Question
What damage can come from pressure washing concrete?
    Ron Lobley
    Community Answer
Hairline cracks in concrete walls can become deeper and wider. Also, the paint and chunks of concrete are easily chipped off these small edges of these type of cracks. As a result of the damage caused, it's usually necessary to apply a filler or bonding compound and then repaint the area. Asphalt is also easily damaged by the operator using too high of a pressure tip or trying to remove weeds or plant growth with the sprayer.
