Pokémon Yellow is a special edition game released shortly after Pokémon Blue and Pokémon Red. It is based off of the anime. It is almost impossible to get through the Rock Tunnel without the HM Flash.

    Flash can be used in battle to lower the opponent's accuracy and can be used outside of battle to light dark caves and tunnels, such as Lavender Town's Rock Tunnel.

    Is it possible to catch Mewtwo with Pokeballs?

    It is, but you have to give it a status effect first. Sleep and freeze is the most helpful (though you have to get lucky to get a freeze). Without a status effect, Mewtwo was coded to be caught in nothing less than an Ultra Ball.
